I am the Mando
I am the lively tune in your head.
Small, barely noticeable and modest,
I will become the unexpected.

Mando

The Mando is a chambered solidbody, dual pickup, 18 fret, 12-string electric guitar, featuring a short 390mm scale.
She will give you mandolin like tone but is played with the ease of a standard tuning 12-string guitar.

Starting in Germany in the 16th Century the mandola has impacted music for centuries. And now we have continued the tradition in the Duesenberg way.

The Mando is made from a solid piece of mahogany in which we route large sound chambers for increased resonance and semi-hollow like response. The short set maple neck sports a 12" indian rosewood fretboard.

The Mando is tuned in standard tuning, so it can be played with ease but still give you an exciting new tone.
She is eqiupped with a Duesenberg SC1 singlecoil for the neck and a Little Toaster for the bridge position.

This combination makes the Mando’s sound incomparably brilliant and provides it with enough charm to break open the gates of heaven in nearly any musical context or genre. The Little Toaster and SC1 pickups are precisely right for this kind of penetrating sound, which possesses bell-like clarity and brightness in every band context.

All our instruments are fitted with our own hardware, which you will only find on a Duesenberg. We design it with attention to even the smallest details to create truly unique instruments from tuner buttons to jack plates. Duesenberg Z-Tuners with round buttons and the full adjustable 12-string bridge will allow you to set the perfect intonation on each string.

All of our fretboards are carefully pleked and finished by hand for optimum playability and the smooth feel they are famous for.

We would be happy to make yours.
